The Official Rules & Regulations of the Tournament
The
official rules and regulations which will be followed during the entire
duration of the tournament are stated here. This serves as a guide for
the officials, referees, coaches, players, and fans.
1) The tournament is made up of 2 categories: category A (midgets)
consists of players with ages 9 to 11; category B (juniors) consists of
players with the age of 12 or 13.
2) Each MIDGET team is allowed to field only 6 players at a time
during the game. This would consist of 5 field players and 1 goalkeeper.
3) Each JUNIOR team is allowed to field only 5 players at a time
during the game. This would consist of 4 field players and 1 goalkeeper.
4) There will be no breaks or timeouts from the moment the game starts until the referee makes the final whistle.
5) There will be no 'offside' calls.
6) The goalkeeper is allowed to play on the field with the rest of his teammates.
7) The goalkeeper is not allowed to use his hands if he receives a pass from one of his teammates.
8) Sliding or tackling is not allowed.
9) The team players should be present on the designated players'
area at least 5 minutes before the start of each game to avoid delays
in starting the play.
10) Players are only allowed to play for one and only one team.
Exchanging players between teams after the start of the tournament is
not allowed.
11) The rest of the game rules follow the standard official soccer regulations.
